The Sumo Series is a complete line of progressive Stand Up Paddleboards designed for the larger paddle surfer. The Sumo utilizes the “Sumo Disk” to increase volume in the paddling standing area while maintaining performance features, The “Sumo” ranges in size from 8′11″ to 10′4″, designed for waves from 1′- 8′, very stable, fast to paddle, and catches waves with ease.

 Hobie’s PFX construction combines Fiberglass and a Polypropylene fiber, the lightest, toughest fiber available, sandwiched in between two layers of fiberglass and laminated with Epoxy resins over a light weight EPS core.
This micro sandwich composite delivers superior toughness and stiffness in a composite while reducing weight and increasing performance.
