With a 2nd in Rd 3 of the SUP Surf Women at the ISA SUP World Championship 2012, Team Hobie member Shakira Westdorp is into the finals of this category. Good luck Shakira.
Team Hobie’s Justin Holland, decided to take the long way and still stands a chance to make it into the Men’s SUP Surf finals. Justin scored a 3rd in Rd 3 and came 2nd in his heat in the repechage. Rd 5 of the repechage saw Justin come 2nd in his heat which puts him into final heat of the repechage where he will meet Team Hobie USA’s Colin McPhillips.

SAN FRANCISCO, California – The 2011 Battle of The Bay went off in spectacular fashion this past Saturday October 29th with 158 paddlers taking to the water to do Battle for the inaugural Battle of the Bay Title. Hobie says farewell to Chuck Patterson from its team of renowned water athletes. Chuck joined the Hobie team in 2005 and was an integral member in Hobie’s emergence into the ever-evolving stand up paddleboard market.
Chuck brought with him a long illustrious sports resume and a magnetic personality that will be hard if not impossible to ever replace. We might not miss all the custom boards we had to build for Chuck but we will certainly miss Chuck as one of our most respected Team members. From all of us at Hobie we wish him the best in his new career endeavors.

Rojas, Patterson, and Ching dominate 2010 Hobie/Hennessey’s Waterman’s Challenge
Dana Point California, June 5th 2010 - Doheny State Beach once again paid host to the this years Hobie / Hennessey’s Waterman’s Challenge. This year’s Challenge marked the 5th year of the event, and just like the previous four years, the level of competition was high, and the conditions made for a race that challenged racer’s physical stamina, mental tenacity, and board riding skills.
